Less electronics, more instruments
At the same time he has been involved in determining the direction with his music. He is increasingly using digital recordings with keyboards, samplers, synthesizers, rhythm machines and computers.
At the end of the nineties he concentrates increasingly on his ultimate goal: writing music for orchestra, small ensembles and for the piano. He wants to use instruments with classical school musicians to create a mix of music from different parts of our world.
L'Isola
In 1998 he plays piano with an orchestra composed of twenty classical musicians at the Lake of Orta In Northern Italy In the beautiful surroundings of the sacred mountain dedicated to the life of Saint Francis.
Conducting and playing piano
He decides to conduct his compositions and to play only piano. Only the idea, how to create that, is still missing. This idea arises when he visits the island of San Giulio, which one can see from the Holy Mountain on the shore of the Lake of Orta. There he discovers signs with inscriptions around the monastery. These inscriptions are the titles of the songs on his work called L'ISOLA. More about this later.
