New musical paths with old and new friends
This project arises from the wish of Ciro Perrino to explore new musical paths. Once again, he is contacting old and new friends to start a new professional collaboration. The core is from the ST. TROPEZ project with this difference that the singer now also plays a slightly modified Fender Rhodes 73 electric piano. This time the two new mates are Marco Tudini and Roberto Rossi. Tudini is one of the former members of CELESTE, where he played flute, saxophone and percussion in Robert Wyatt’s Matching Mole’s stile.

        Nodissea a song from Prince of One Day (one of the CDs of CELESTE, the Complete recordings) is a good example of this. He vocalizes in a beautiful way, before his improvisations on the saxophone and the flute. With LA COMPAGNIA DIGITALE he plays drums, the instrument he plays since his childhood.

        Roberto ' Roby ' Rossi is the bass player, the second element of the rhythm section of the band. Both Tudini and Rossi have played in the past with Stefano Minutolo in a classic drum/bass/guitar rock trio.


        Recordings of live performances

        Ciro has also played with Tudini and Rossi and some other musicians in August 1979.From this open door concert has been made recordings. This event has been organized by Mariano Schiavolini, who, after his CELESTE period, has set up a label called ' Dischi Noi '. The event takes place in an old town near Ventimiglia.

        In the period of 1979, recordings and releases have been made from some live Performances.

        In 1992 the Mellow label releases this again.
