Collection old tapes of CELESTE
In the time that Polygram releases FAR EAST in 1990 approaches Moroni Ciro to ask whether he has yet tapes from the group CELESTE. This is the group of which Ciro has been part .
Moroni wants to release a record in a limited edition for the many fans, who are still there of the band. Ciro collects all there is. They record demos of it in the studio of Ciro For CELESTE 2, that eventually never got published. However, Moroni has released a beautiful vinyl record in the color celeste (Light Blue) in a limited edition, which has been quickly sold out.
Collection of old tapes from IL SISTEMA
After this first step Moroni asks Ciro to collect old tapes from another band called IL SISTEMA. This band precedes CELESTE.
Ciro has recorded many hours of recordings of this band during rehearsings, but no real demo tapes. After listening to hundreds of hours of old tapes, he gives Moroni the material to release a double long play record and a CD with different songs. About thousand copies has been released, sold out within a few weeks.
Old tape of MUSEO ROSENBACH
Moroni asks Ciro if he can find an old tape of the band of which he knows all the members. This is a live recorded unique concert given by MUSEO ROSENBACH in 1973. He will search and find at home the only still existing cassette of the band's former keyboard player. Ciro remembers that Moroni speaks some of his contacts in Japan and suddenly thousands of copies have been released on a CD. This CD sold out in no time.
Set up Mellow-Label
After these experiences Moroni collaborate more intensively with Ciro. Together they set up a label. The money that the released CD has brought is invested in the Mellow label.
Ciro and his musical contacts
Ciro will take care of the contacts with all the musicians he is familiar with during the seventies during concerts and festivals. He has kept in touch with many musicians.He asks them if they still have tapes with unpublished material.
Looking for licenses
He visits all the secretariats of the big record companies and the small labels to ask if they can get the album licenses of forgotten bands that performed during the sixties and seventies.
Ciro stops with Mellow label. He starts composing again.
Finally Ciro decides in 2001, tired of all the research work, to stop it. That's just before he enters the studio to record the first version of L'ISOLA with orchestra.
